ImagePro35 Image Converter for 2/3" Cameras
$375/Day
$1125/Week

The device allows broadcast videographers and digital filmmakers to attach any Arri PL mounted prime 35mm film lens to their high definition (HD) or standard definition (SD) 2/3" video camera to obtain the three-dimensional quality of a 35mm film camera on videotape.

Key Features:

  • Optimized for 35mm film lenses - motion and still.
  • Virtually the same depth-of-field, focus and angle-of-view as with a 35mm film camera.
  • Connects with a B4 camera mount to all 2/3" high definition (HD) and standard definition (SD) video cameras.
  • Interchangeable lens mounts available for shooting with Arri PL, Nikon, Panavision, Canon and BNC-R mounted 35mm lenses.
  • Camera needs no modification, just mount the PRO35 and a 35mm lens to your 2/3" video camera.
  • Industry standard 15mm lightweight support rods accommodate popular matte boxes, follow focus units and other professional motion picture accessories.
  • Power supply via camera, no extra battery needed.

How It Works:

The PRO35 projects the 16 x 22mm (academy format) image produced by a 35mm lens onto an especially desig-ned, eccentrically moving ground glass. This image is then relayed onto the 2/3" sensor of the electronic camera on a reduced scale while maintaining 35mm depth-of-field and angle-of-view. Contrast is improved and colors have a more natural appearance.

Benefits:

With this convergent device, a 2/3" video camera can capture the same depth-of-field, focal length and angle-of-view as 35mm film. No longer restricted by a limited number of video lens options, a 2/3" video camera operator can now get creative with hundreds of lens choices up to now the exclusive realm of 35mm filmmakers. By offering the three-dimensional quality of film, the PRO35 Image Converter dramatically expands the look, definition and potential use of both HD and SD 2/3" format video.

What The Converter Can Do For You:

When a mainly digital post production work flow suggests rather shooting straight on digital video than on celluloid film, the PRO35 Image Converter maintains the look-and-feel of producing moving images on 35mm film. Shooting on video was long time said to be esthetically restricted and to produce a rather flat image compared to a 35mm film image. The PRO35 Image Converter makes 35mm motion picture lenses available for videographers and digital film-makers. Now shifting focus between details and by doing this taking the viewer through an image became a full range feature for video images.
