Panasonic AJ-HD1200A Call for Rates
The compact, AC/DC-powered AJ-HD1200A is ready for a host of active uses. This versatile HD VTR plays all DVCPRO formats (both NTSC and PAL), including DVCPRO HD-LP, and can downconvert HD signals for output as SD signals, allowing its use as both an HD and SD viewer. With its 1080/24p (25p) conversion and output function for Varicam sources, the AJ-HD1200A also meets needs in HD cinema production. The AJ-HD1200A can serve as a recorder in a space-saving, low-cost HD production system and with the IEEE 1394 board, the AJ-HD1200A HD becomes the world's first VTR to offer HD input and output via an IEEE 1394 digital interface.

Panasonic AJ-D750 $275/day $825/week
The AJ-D750 can also accept digital I/O. It has built-in TBC and 2 channel digital audio. Audio in and out on the studio recorder is either analog or digital via (AES/EBU) on XLR connectors. Panasonic's AJ-D750 records up to 120 minutes with a DVCPRO cassette, and will playback 60-minute tapes recorded in the consumer DV format. (It can also play mini-dv format tapes through an accessory adapter.) The deck has RS422 control for interfacing with both non-linear and linear professional video editing equipment. SMPTE timecode provides for 0 frame editing accuracy.

The AJ-LT95 fits two DVCPRO50 digital VTRs, two 7" wide-screen (16:9) LCD monitors, speakers, and an editing controller in a unit about the same size as a briefcase. Weighing less than 29 lbs, the AJ-LT95 travels easily between field and studio.
A casing made of tough aluminum diecast gives the AJ-LT95 the ideal combination of light weight and rugged durability. The AJ-LT95 can record and play back in both DVCPRO50 and DVCPRO formats. In DVCPRO50 mode the AJ-LT95 can record up to 92 minutes onto an AJ-5P92LP compact 1/4" cassette tape, while in DVCPRO mode recording time is doubled, to 184 minutes. In playback, the AJ-LT95 automatically detects which format the tape was recorded in and switches accordingly.
Analog component video (Y/PB/PR) input and output terminals are provided for both VTR1 and VTR2, and the Y terminal can be switched to composite in/out. Also, analog audio input and output are possible for all four channels, and video (VTR1/ VTR2) and audio (L/R) monitor output terminals are provided.

The AJ-D90 is a dockable DVCPRO50 VCR that can convert the analog component camera you use now into a 50 Mbps/4:2:2 digital component recording system. Thanks to the DVCPRO50 format, the AJ-D90 delivers the superior picture and sound quality needed in high-end production. This format's 50-Mbps recording rate allows recording of 4:2:2 digital component video signals at a low 3.3:1 compression ratio.
The AJ-D90connects to the camera via the same 68-pin connector used by conventional MII VCRs. This allows direct docking with cameras such as the WV-F575 as well as a wide variety of cameras with interface adaptor. For added versatility the AJ-D90 also lets you record in the DVCPRO (25 Mbps) format, giving you the advantage of its longer recording time about one hour. The AJ-D90 combines outstanding performance with the compact size, light weight and low power consumption that are hallmarks of 1/4" systems.
