DPS-475
$200/Day
$600/Week
Offering maximum functionality and flexibility in a single unit of rack space, the DPS-475 Digital Processing Synchronizer IS equally suited for use in analog, digital or hybrid facilities. Fully capable of bridging analog video signals (such as satellite and microwave feeds) to digital production facilities, these dexterous devices are the ideal choice for the transition to digital. The normal mode is designed to convert from one video format to another and from one audio format to another. Both the audio and the video signals are synchronized to the input genlock reference signal. Video and audio adjustments can be carried out on the input signals.
DPS-475 synchronizers provide separate connections for all video input and output formats. This enables convenient front panel selection between multiple input devices, all of which may be connected simultaneously. A DV I/O module makes it easy to interface DV camcorders and 1394-equipped digital VCRs. As an added convenience, front panel transport controls, including jog and shuttle, make it easy to control DV devices via the 1394 link.
DPS-290
$125/Day
$375/Week
The DPS-290 Component Transcoding TBC/Synchronizer is perfect for all tape formats, including U-Matic, U-Matic-SP, VHS, S-VHS, and Hi-8. Available in sin-gle and dual channel configurations, the DPS-290 provides composite (NTSC), Y/C (S-Video) and component (Betacam/MII) inputs and outputs. The DPS-290 also functions as a transcoder as all outputs are active simultaneously, making it particularly well suited for inter-format editing and duplication applications.
A 3-line adaptive comb filter decoder provides wide bandwidth composite video performance, making the DPS-290 equally useful for synchronizing camera and satellite feeds or for decoding composite video sources into component, Y/C signals or RGB signals. Designed for use in mission critical applications, a composite video bypass relay instantly routes input and output signals together in the event of power loss or system failure.
Standard features include digital recursive chrominance/luminance noise reduction, 3-dimensional RF dropout compensation and red/blue color balance controls.
Special effects include freeze frame, freeze field, variable strobe and film mode strobe. Front panel controls and a back-lit LCD status display provide easy access to all proc amp and configuration functions including CAV output levels, vertical blanking width, Y/C horizontal delay, Y/C vertical delay and DNR modes. A 10-event scene memory permits all front panel settings to instantly be stored or recalled.
Sony MPU-F100A
$125/Day
$375/Week
The MPU-F100 is a TBC/ frame sync that accepts asynchronous video signals, locks them with the house sync and outputs synchronous video signals. It also provides time base error correction to eliminate skew errors and jitter. It can act as a transcoder-accepting and sending composite, component, RGB and Y/C. It also has external genlock and picture freeze.
